Typically offered from 16 of pregnancy, this scan provides valuable information about your cervical health. A short cervix can increase the risk of preterm labor, and by measuring its length, our experienced midwife sonographers can help identify any potential concerns early on. The scan is conducted in a comfortable and supportive environment, ensuring a positive experience for you. Our Cervical Length Scan aims to provide you and your healthcare provider with important insights to help ensure the best possible outcome for you and your baby.

Our Cervical Length Scan includes

• Transvaginal ultrasound to measure cervical length
• Assessment of cervical appearance and any signs of shortening or funneling
• Evaluation of the uterus and surrounding structures
• Detection of fetal heartbeat
• Assessment of fetal position (head down, breech, etc.)
• Evaluation of placental location and condition
• Measurement of amniotic fluid levels
• Measurement of fetal size and estimation of fetal weight
• Observation of bloodflow between baby and placenta (if over 24 weeks)
• Discussion and explanation of findings with a qualified midwife sonographer
